Dear Parents and Carers,

Please see below a list of the key dates for this half term. The full list of important dates can be found on our website, here.

Parents’ Evenings – 3-6pm, Wednesday 4th and 11th March

To book your child’s 12-minute slot, please use the Cloud system at https://theellisce.schoolcloud.co.uk/

World Book Day – Thursday 5th March

Children are welcome to dress up as their favourite book character or wear their pyjamas.

Y4 Perlethorpe Trip – Friday 6th March

We will be leaving school just after registration. Please ensure your child arrives promptly at 8:45am. We expect to return to school in time for our usual home time.

SEND Coffee and Catch-up Meeting – 1:30pm, Friday 6th March

Please email office@ellis.dsat.education to confirm your attendance.

Y5 PGL Residential – Monday 16st to Wednesday 18th March

The Ellis Church – Thursday 19th March 

Everyone is welcome to our Ellis Church which is held in the school hall straight after school.

Comic Relief (Red Nose Day) – Friday 20th March

Friday 20th March is Red Nose Day, and children are welcome to come to school in Comic Relief t-shirts, wear something red or non-uniform.  If you would like to, please feel free to donate via their website – www.comicrelief.com 

Rocksteady Music Concert/Assembly – 2:30pm, Tuesday 24th March

Families of our Rocksteady Music band members are invited to the concert/assembly, which will be held in the school hall.

Y1-Y6 Walk to Church Easter Service – Wednesday 25th March

Our Easter service will be at St Mary’s Church on Wednesday 25th March.

Years 1-6 will be walking from school promptly at 9am and parents are welcome to meet us at St Mary’s for a 10am start. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis, however, the children will be sitting in the main pews directly in front of the altar, so please leave these free. Children will need to stay with their class throughout the service and will sing a variety of songs and share some Easter readings.  

At the end of the service, we will walk the children back to school in plenty of time for their lunch. 

Y3 Creswell Crags Trip – Thursday 26th March

The coach will leave school at 8:30am and is expected to return to school by 3:15pm. Children will need to be at school for no later than 8:15am.  

EYFS (F1 and F2) Easter Coffee Morning – Friday 27th March

We will be holding our Easter Coffee morning on Friday 27th March, 9-10:30am to which all family members are invited.

Easter Holidays – Monday 30th March to Friday 10th April
