KS2 Panathlon Finals – Thursday 19th March

Dear Parent,

Your child has been selected to represent the school in a KS2 Panathlon event at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, on Thursday 19th March.  In November, your child attended the regional event and as a result of their success, they are now entered into the county finals.

The event will start at 10am and finish at 12pm. Children will have their lunch when they arrive back from the event and will require a packed lunch.  

This event is part of our Compete series of events in the South Yorkshire School Games Programme. Therefore, this event has an emphasis on competition with the chance to win the county title! The event will be held indoors. 

Children will travel to and from the venue via Broadway Travel with Miss Turton and Mrs Wood. Unfortunately, parents are not allowed to attend the event. 

Your child can come to school in their PE kit and will be given a sports top. They will need suitable trainers, a drink of water, and a bag for their belongings. Children can remain in their PE kits on their return to school.  

If your child requires an inhaler, they will need to bring this along with them. The cost of the trip will be funded using the Sports Premium Grant and therefore your child requires no money for the event.
