Dear Y4 Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to let you know we have provisionally booked our Y5 residential trip for next year, at PGL Dearne Valley (previously Kingswood), for 22nd to 24th March 2027. 

We have chosen the dates of the trip in order to secure a more reasonable price of approximately £234. As the venue is fairly local and transport costs have risen dramatically, we have made the decision to ask parents to take their children (or car share) to and from the venue to keep costs down.

The booking is only being held for a short period; therefore, we will need to confirm numbers by Monday 13th April. Please reply to this email to confirm if your child would like a place. This will give an initial indication of interest and allow us time to put the deposit on your Arbor app. Please note that if you do not get in touch, we will assume that you do not want a place for your child on the trip.

To secure your child’s place, an initial deposit of £45 will be due by Friday 12th June. A further interim payment of £105 will be due on or before Friday 4th September. The remaining balance will be due by Monday 11th January 2027. As always, there is the option to pay in small, regular amounts if you prefer to spread the cost of the visit, as long as the deadlines are met. 

We would like to inform you of PGL’s cancellation costs below:

  • 70 or more days before travel – loss of deposit.

  • 69 to 28 days before travel – 60% of the whole balance is retained/needs to be paid.

  • 27 to 14 days before travel – 80% of the whole balance is retained/needs to be paid.

  • Less than 14 days before travel – 100% of the whole balance is retained/needs to be paid.

  • If there are less than 14 children, unfortunately the trip will not be able to go ahead.
